Guaranteed and discounted race entries for Volunteers
The cost of racing is considerable so why not give us a hand at one (or more) of our events and receive discounted (and guaranteed) race entries in return.
The quality and support of our volunteers around the courses are the first and most frequent sources of praise in the feedback we receive. The competitors appreciate the empathy of fellow athletes and it’s fantastic to have as many people involved as possible who “understand”!!

RaceNewForest Events 2012 Update
As previously announced RaceNewForest has confirmed its 2012 schedule including an exciting Sprint/Standard event at Bucklers Hard, venue of the much-loved “SwashBuckler.”
First up on February 26th Feb is the HeartBreaker run festival with 10k, 14 mile and full marathon distance multi terrain events over the ForestMan course. Ideal if you’re tackling any of the triathlons later in the year over similar courses!!
The traditional season’s tri opener will be The New Forest Triathlon on April 29th. The event will see a few changes for 2012 resulting from its ever increasing popularity as an early season test.
SwashBuckler Middle Distance is on May 13th : entries open and already filling fast, so don’t delay if you don’t want to miss out one of the most spectacular events in the calendar.
June 24th will be ForestMan / BoskMan day:- ForestMan is a genuinely tough Iron Distance event renowned for it’s friendly, supportive atmosphere and the BoskMan takes in two thirds of the ForestMan’s swim and bike sections followed by half the brutal ForestMan run. Ideal race prep for those taking on some of the mid-season European IronMan events!!
This year will see a special ForestMan “Heroes Challenge” in conjunction with Help for Heroes. Relay entries will be encouraged to take on the ForestMan course with a separate team member for each of the legs. 50% of the entry fee will go directly to the charity and teams will be encouraged to raise as much sponsorship as possible for one of our vital charities.
August 12th is the date for two “mini-SwashBuckler” events at Bucklers Hard with both sprint and standard distance races on offer. Bucklers Hard in mid summer!!!! Don’t miss the most beautiful venue in the country.

7in7………they did it!!!!
Between Monday August 8th and Sunday August 14th RaceNewForest’s Richard Iles, along with Tim Harris, Kev James and Steve Bailey completed seven RaceNewForest triathlons on consecutive days, culminating with the tough “Iron Distance” “ForestMan” on day seven!!
For the full story, click here for Richard’s daily BLOG www.racenewforest.blogspot.com .
The purpose of this “insanity” was to raise money for The Trussell Trust. Hopefully a few of you who have taken part in some of these events will be sufficiently impressed at the team’s efforts (some pretty amazing times achieved) to make a small donation via the justgiving page.
The BLOG is well worth a look….if for no other reason than to read about the woman who started the week as support and ended up becoming an “accidental Iron(Wo)man”………….inspirational stuff.
To whet your appetite: on ForestMan day, at the end of a tough week, both Steve and Kev set ForestMan PB’s and our two novices knocked out 13.5 hr ForestMan finishes!!!
EdUKaid’s 10km Dash for Desks and 2km Fun Run/ Walk.

There are now 250 people registered on the waitlist for the September New Forest Middle Distance Triathlon so there's little point in any more registering for that but there are still plenty of places in the Bucklers Revenge on 4th Sept instead.
