Since 2003, EdUKaid has been supporting some of the poorest communities in Tanzania to improve the access and quality of education.
EdUKaid’s 10km Dash for Desks is set in the stunning natural scenery of the New Forest National Park. Enjoy this scenic, challenging and multi-terrain course and help raise money to buy desks for children in Tanzania.
Race pre-entry: UKA £10.50 – Non UKA £12.50, 2km run/walk: £3
On the day: UKA £13 – Non UKA £15, 5km run/walk: £5

Wouldn’t it be great to buy a desk for school kids in Tanzania?

Tanzanian schools face many challenges as a result of lacking and inadequate resources. However, the most urgent need is for desks. There should only be 2 children to a desk. Yet often there are 3 or 4 crammed in, and some have to make do without a desk at all.
It costs just £30 for a local carpenter to make a desk and chair for two school children. Your entry fee will go towards buying a desk. We’re hoping we might even be able to buy one of these desks for each runner who takes part. Why not get sponsored, or make a donation?
