"Like the idea - not quite ready for the full distance?? Then read on:
The Boskman Triathlon
held "within" the Forestman event. Same details as above for Registration and bike racking etc. Same time start - hopefully finish a lot sooner!
Swim 2.6km Mass start. 2 laps of Ellingham Lake.
Wetsuits compulsory. Cut-off: 1.5 hours after the start time.
Cycle 120km 2laps of the Forestman(3laps) cycle route from Ringwood, Bransgore to A35, Boldrewood, Bramshaw in the New Forest (undulating route) Cut-off: 6 hours after start time.
Run 20km from Sandy Balls approx 1.5miles on the road then turn off onto the off-road section, 1 lap at the central point (out & back) then retrace your route to the finish. The full Forestman route is probably one of the hardest triathlon runs in the UK - this 1 lap version gives you a flavour without a lot of the pain!
For event details maps and routes have a look at the Forestman but you only do laps 1 and 2 of the bike to finish at Sandy Balls then just one complete lap of the run (inc. the out and backs)"
